About Cole

Best known as the award-winning producer of "The Kingdom Within," a feature length documentary that premiered at the Zanzibar International Film Festival, Cole Dabney is a true entrepreneur in both music and film. While he was still a junior in high school, he founded the Austin Film Critics Association in 2005.

Since 2005, Dabney has not only directed his own feature length documentaries and music videos, but his skills as a film critic have earned him appearances on CNN, FoxNews, News 8 Austin, and Howard Stern, and mentions in Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times, LA Times, The Guardian and other major publications. Dabney has also spoken at SXSW and made private speaking engagements.

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin (UT) in 2010, Dabney moved to Los Angeles and spent his time working at such prestigious companies as Warner Bros., The Gersh Agency, Magnolia Pictures, Magical Elves Inc, Harbinger Pictures, Robyn Nash Productions and more. Dabney also directed and sold two feature length documentary films during this time.

Also upon moving to Los Angeles, Dabney was able to grow his career as a highly respected music video director and tour videographer, directing over 50 music videos to date. His music videos have accumulated millions of views and lead to him working with the top record labels and artists in a variety of genres. His videos have debuted on national television stations, including CMT & BET, as well as on notable international music websites such as Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, World Star Hip Hop, NME, Alternative Press, Complex, Vibe and more.

In addition to his contributions to music and film, Dabney has also worked in marketing and publicity for multiple well known companies including Magnet Releasing, Magnolia Pictures, and has contributed film footage for marketing campaigns to promote Circle Talent Agency, The Artery Foundation, So What?! Music Festival, Unsilent Night Music Festival, and more.
